Tento mohutný had z Jížní Ameriky je nejtěžším hadem světa a druhým největším hadem světa.Dorůstá až 7metrové délky a váží až 180kg.Největší exemplář měl 9.15 metrů a vážil 227kg.Jejím domovem jsou zaplavené tropické lesy v povodí Amazonky.Potravou je téměř vše(savci,ptáci,plazi,obojživelníci).Na souši je anakonda díky své váze pomalá ale ve vodě jí váha nadnáší tím pádem je rychlá.Tento had při své délce dokáže zabít kajmana(druh krokodýla).Jsou ověřené případy kdy anakonda spolkla malé dítě.
